The story reimagines Yoshiko Tsushima, the school idol afflicted with chuunibyou (adolescent delusions of grandeur), as a magical girl. The story is set in Numazu, a scenic harbor town surrounded by the sea and mountains. Ever since she was little, the girl Yohane has never fit in, and has always felt apart from everyone in town. Her aspirations and true place in this world lie elsewhere. The story follows this girl who can't follow rules as she journeys into the mysterious world.

1. The Song of BeginningsTwo years after moving to the city to make it big, Yohane fails another audition. Her mother tells her she's going to stop sending her money and that she should come home to find something only she can do, so Yohane returns to Numazu.
2. My JobDesperate to return to the big city, Yohane attempts to find the thing only she can do. She tries her hand at fortune telling, and gets the chance to see where her other childhood friends have found their purpose.
3. Solidarity: Are you ready?Yohane finds herself drawn further into the strange happenings interrupting life in Numazu, and learns she has a deeper connection to the soul of the town than she ever realised.
4. Between the Sky and SeaAs Yohane gets closer to her childhood friends, she begins to realize what finding her special fun thing only she can do will mean. You needs some help from a friend, so Yohane heads out on yet another adventure into Numazu.
5. The Demon Lord's SecretMari, the Demon Lord of Warshimer Island, reveals more information that might help Yohane save Numazu. Yohane realizes that Mari might need saving too, and takes it upon herself to show Mari she can be accepted in the village despite her differences.
6. The Harmony of the ShyThe mystery of the Resonances deepens. Yohane and Mari get closer to Riko as they work together, but Riko has a secret that could change everything...
7. What's a Girls' Night?As the planned girls' night approaches, Yohane pushes herself to the limit to make sure it's the best experience possible for all of her new friends.
8. Reach them! Sea breezeThe Numazu festival is in full swing! Yohane and her friends are excited to perform together, but disaster strikes when her magical staff goes missing. Can they find it together in time?
