Every year, several young Quebecers go to Hawaii to qualify as Ocean Lifeguards (OL). During their stay, they have to go through extraordinary trials to prove that they can watch over beaches all through North America. This documentary series follows some of these athletes during this perilous and difficult training.
Episodes
▶1. Episode 146m · The candidates have to train hard in their respective regions. Without training, they won’t be able to go through their Hawaii challenges.▶2. Episode 246m · The participants quickly dive into their development. The recruits have to go through three tests to prove they can become Ocean Lifeguards.▶3. Episode 346m · Already, fatigue is an issue and some of the participants are getting worried that they won’t make it.▶4. Episode 446m · The recruits have to go through another endurance test, which includes water entry, putting on palms and a 50-meter sprint in a minute.▶5. Episode 546m · The fifth and last day of training will be emotional. Today is pass or fail. The candidates have to go through a fourth physical test.▶6. Episode 646m · Mission accomplished! The training and the tests are over. The participants have a few days left to take a real vacation together.
