Tekkaman: The Space Knight

Tekkaman: The Space Knight is an anime produced by Tatsunoko Productions in 1975. A short-lived English adaptation aired in the US in 1984. Two decades later, it was followed by the much more popular Tekkaman Blade, which was dubbed in the U.S. by Saban as Teknoman. The original series is currently streaming in North America via Yomiura Group's planned Anime Sols video service, as of spring 2013. However, due to the failure to successfully crowd-fund it for DVD, the show will soon be removed from the site, with the possibility of considering a crowd-funding opportunity in the future.

The Russians wanted to ensure that they were ahead of the U.S. in the arms race, and used this organization to develop a mobile combat suit, armed to the teeth with all kinds of weapons imaginable. During his tenure on the project, Kawamata met Matsuzaki, a twisted scientist who was kicked out of Japan for unscrupulous practices. Matsuzaki became lead engineer on the combat suit project and coded Kawamata’s thought impulses into the control mechanism, so only he can operate the walking arsenal. But when Communist Russia collapsed, Kawamata and Matsuzaki stole the armored battle suit and snuck it into Japan.

However, doctor Mishina and his wife die and their three daughters, Aoi, Midori and Kurenai make the decision to be the Musumets. The three sisters have to battle for the world peace, while the deal with common teenagers problems, like school, love or the three rich arrogant and plastic sisters Marcia, Kou and Shion Saotome.
