Divided into four chapters, the narrative immerses us in the everyday life of her home, a space filled with memories and remnants that reflect what once was and what remains. Among antique furniture and objects steeped in history, we witness the protagonist navigating her present while confronting the inevitable decline of her body and mind. This journey portrays, in a raw yet poetic way, the duality of existence: the beauty and the hardship of growing old.

Made as part of the Winnipeg Film Group's "Super 8 Special" film incubator. This picture was captured on super 8 film, drip dyed with a mixture of india ink and water collected from Lake Winnipeg, then digitized and captured on VHS.

Reflections - Mojave Desert

In late August 2016, the band of Floating Points travelled to the Mojave desert to rehearse and record before their tour of the Southern states of America. Whilst visiting Joshua Tree national park, they were struck not only by its physical beauty, but also of the sonic reflections from the rock formations. A unique sound of reverb, echo and phase shifting modulating the sound from its surroundings.They took advantage of this environment to write and record some new music at the base of some of these natural sculptures which was documented in this short film.

A dream where obsession for German as a second language mixes up with an obsession for neatness and cleanliness as a distinctive feature of the national culture in question seen from the perspective of a foreigner. The dream is not a nightmare only because the set it is dreamt into is the seashore of the mare nostrum, where the dreaming subject is perfectly at home. A homeland which she, in turn, in her more secret thus naΓ―f dreams would dream of being cleaner and tidier as in the reality, especially in front of such beauty of nature. As is right and proper.
