The Black Contribution – Literature and Theater 1978 is a rare documentary highlighting the voices and cultural impact of African American writers and performers during the civil rights era. Introduced by NAACP leader Benjamin Hooks and narrated by Roscoe Lee Brown, the film weaves together dramatic readings, theatrical excerpts, and candid urban street footage. Margaret Walker’s poem For My People is performed alongside scenes of daily Black life in New York City — children playing, families on stoops, open fire hydrants, and the realities of poverty in 1970s neighborhoods. James Baldwin appears in interview footage, while signs for his play The Amen Corner and stage excerpts from Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun underscore the powerful presence of Black voices in American theater. With rare shots of Harlem life, literature, and performance, this film documents the enduring contributions of African American artists to U.S. culture and history.

Later, with "Gazon maudit" (Damned Grass), she tackled homosexuality with a freedom that is still shocking today.

At the age of twenty-seven, Brice, Eric, and Hervé, three friends who met at business school, set off on a round-the-world sailing trip aboard Kifouine, a small eight-meter sailboat not really designed for long-distance sailing. It was an extraordinary human adventure that lasted three years, which they shared with forty-five young adults with cerebral palsy from the PASSErAILE center in the Paris region, who also dreamed of setting sail. Every day, the sailors kept them updated on their journey via their online stories. Drawn to his uncle’s unique personality, he begins to roll his camera as he visits him over the years. Tsubota himself had been diagnosed with a developmental disability and so understanding his uncle is also an act of understanding himself. Through intimate and personal footage, this charming film is gem of a documentary that also highlights contemporary social issues surrounding aging and social care for the disabled.
