Bored with his daily routine, Breckenridge Gamble accepts a secret mission from some oil magnates to deliver a message to President Losada of the South American Republic of Centralia. Upon his arrival, Gamble learns from Angela, the president's daughter, that her father has been imprisoned by Cortez, the leader of the revolutionaries. Gamble also is imprisoned but frees all the prisoners as well as himself by impersonating the prison comandante. After forming an army, Gamble delivers the message--a large money draft sufficient to pay the army and secure President Losada's government--and is rewarded with Angela's love.

He fails, the former decision is reversed with Ida receiving her fair share and incidentally a husband in Robert Graham.

She professed devout Christianity and frequently reminded the community of her moral influence. In stark contrast stood "The Sinner," a young man unconcerned with piety. He frequented card games, and whispers of his atheism followed him. When a broken-hearted girl arrived, her nameless child clinging to her, "The Saint" dismissed her plea. Yet, "The Sinner" welcomed them into his home, offering refuge and care. His actions sparked immediate outrage among the villagers, further inflamed when he and the young woman attended church together that Sunday. Fortunately, the town's minister was a man of genuine faith, and through his tireless efforts, the outcast found acceptance and a place within the community.

Vaudeville artist LaBelle Geraldine and her dancing partner, Freddie Montgomery, are stranded in Arizona when their troupe breaks up. In order to raise money, Geraldine orders Freddie to impersonate masked bandit Black Jim so that she may turn him in and collect the $2,000 reward. When the real Black Jim holds up her coach, Geraldine, believing that he is Freddie, boldly pulls out her gun, whereupon the bandit shoots her in the wrist and takes her to his cabin. Later Freddie, too, is captured, but when members of the gang insult Geraldine, he refuses to protect her. Gradually Black Jim falls in love with her, and she comes to admire him so deeply that instead of seizing a chance to escape one night, she returns to warn him of the gang's plot to kill him.
