Leading Nepalese film scholar and Tokyo University of Information Sciences professor Ito Toshiaki serves as the first Japanese director and screenplay writer for a Nepalese film in this mid-length feature film. Screened in Kathmandu and recipient of the National Film Award from the Nepal government and the Nepal Short Film Critic's Award. A couple visits a mountain village in Nepal to put on a puppet theater performance. A young boy named Ramesh is brought to the festival being held in the village by his grandma Maya. There, he meets a girl named Nisha who wears the same ethnic attire as his grandmother.

Shipwreck: The Mystery of the Edmund Fitzgerald

In the summer of 1995, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society, National Geographic Society, Canadian Navy, and Sony Corporation descended to the site of the wreck, more than 500 feet below the surface of the lake. This documentary takes a look at their expedition.

In 2008, a real-life mystery began to unfold when a real estate company (name withheld by request) discovered video footage shot in one of its vacant properties. The tapes were acquired by local documentary filmmakers Jarrod Rogan and Haman Movafagh, who began piecing together a series of bizarre instances recorded by a man living in the house. Apparently waiting for his wife and daughter to join him from out of state, the man began documenting strange activity that kept him from sleeping for days on end. The eerie recordings have become the subject of much controversy among paranormal investigators, and are finally being released to the general public. This first documentary from Son of Jason Films challenges audiences to explain what happened in the house on Briar Lane.

Shipwreck at Egg Island

Patrick Bourgeois dives into the history of one of the worst naval tragedies that ever occurred in Quebec. In 1711, Admiral Hovenden Walker lead a 75-ship English fleet, carrying 15 000 soldiers, towards Quebec City. Eight of his boats shipwrecked on l’Île-aux-oeufs and 1000 people lost their life.

Everybody loves a ghost story and East Anglia is rich in tales of the supernatural. In centuries past, East Anglia was cut off from the rest of England and with its wild coastline and lovely countryside this landscape has inspired tales of mystery and the macabre. There are hundreds of ghost stories about East Anglia, told by one generation to the next but perhaps becoming a little embroidered along the way. But in the twentieth century ghosts became the subject of film and television. People's experiences of the supernatural were recorded and television crews actively investigated hauntings. We have searched the vaults of the East Anglian Film Archive to bring you some of the most chilling ghost stories of our region. Including: a haunted police station in Suffolk, the ghost of Peterhouse College, Cambridge, Old Shuck of Norfolk, Borley Rectory and the disturbed burial mound in Northamptonshire
