Canoas is considered by many, especially by those who are not from there, as a commuter town. Cities from metropolitan areas are usually labeled like this because of the workforce that commutes out everyday to work in the capital. In this daily movement, many times, ideas are conceived and creativity flourishes. I believe that this is one of the reasons why those cities often have a lively cultural scene. The documentary "This is Canoas not POA" makes this very clear: Canoas has a lot to show in terms of a music scene that's independent, diverse, creative, and most important, united. The Akron Sound: It's Everything, and Then It's Gone

In the early 1970s, rubber was still king in Akron, Ohio. But just a few short years later, Akron's most important product was, ever so briefly, music. In the mid-1970s, a group of local bands took over an old rubber workers' hang-out in downtown Akron called The Crypt and created a mix of punk and art rock that came to be known as "the Akron Sound." And for a while, it was almost "the next big thing." Almost. It's Everything, and Then It's Gone, a Western Reserve PBS production written and directed by Phil Hoffman., takes viewers back to a time when the music really did mean everything. And for the men and women in these local bands, it was a way out of the factory.

Joca, a 21-year-old, hosts a gathering with friends at his home. As a vinyl enthusiast, he showcases his collection and plays one of the records. His friends - Vitor and Rebeca - arrive, and conflicts arise. Vitor and Joca argue about Joca's record collection, leading to Rebeca feeling unwell. The next day, Joca wakes up with little memory of the previous day, finding a bottle of alcohol indicating excessive drinking. Before he can reflect on the night, he receives a mysterious delivery: a vinyl record. The record plays a bizarre song with warnings for Joca, but he doesn't take them seriously. Mysterious phenomena start occurring, leading to a mysterious revelation for the character.
