In 2005, aspiring singer Nathan enters a controversial Asian male beauty pageant in Richmond hoping for his big break. An innocent lie catapults him into overnight fame — and suddenly, the whole city is watching! Taken under the wing of Justice, a fiery upstart producer grasping for the next big thing, a reluctant Nathan buries the lie and enters the pageant circuit alongside a rag-tag team of fellow competitors, navigating an improbable mission of turning skeptical public opinion to their side.
