The film is about a woman from a rural area and works in a small restaurant as a cleaner with very low pay. As she has to support her family (mother and daughter), she has no money for herself for better makeup or dress up. She has low esteem. She later was fired by the boss. Because of no money and no home, she goes to the massage parlor and works there a sex worker. It happens that the first customer is the chef of previous restaurant. She has admired him for a while. In this first sex exchange, she is well satisfied both emotionally as well as economically. She starts sex work this way and becomes more confident.

This story is based on the real-life experience of the director's parents, and they play their own character in the film.

A Feng Shui Guideline for Image Maker (Heavenly Stems and Terrestrial Branches)

This video work is a fictional online Feng Shui guideline. A Feng Shui master on-screen in connecting to a person's brain to observe the image fragments in it and, based on that, try to give advice. It turns out to become a dispute between the two. Composed with images from real places like modern residences, high-speed train stations, national enterprises in mid of change, and mining factories, the video gives a dizzying visual effect. The artist narrates the words mixed with humorous, personal, and authoritarian languages. The work concerns the complex relationship between medium, feelings and narratives, and how a personal destiny can be narrated in relation to specific spatial-physicality.

An Ling is a successful writer of romance novels. What is unknown is that all of her novels were written by her deceased mother but published under her name. The publisher urged her to write her seventh novel, but she had no romantic relationship before and was not good at writing. When she was involved in a production, she met an actor, Zheng Yuan, and had an affair with him. An Ling got what she wanted, but she didn’t know how to handle the conflicting feelings she had deep inside. The story was inspired by something that happened in the intoxicatingly beautiful spring of 2016. This was my last film during my undergraduate years. I always wanted it to be completely engraved with my personal imprint and represent all my style preferences. So then I began to construct the story, a proud but timid woman with secrets in her heart and a group of hilarious mundane people, what would happen to them in a mountain forest surrounded by mist and fog…

ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS OF LIFE

In Southern Beijing, a father and his son who relied on each other were struggling to live, and two daughters wanted to seize their father's retirement expenses for their own personal gain. And misfortunes came one after another. The 60-year-old demented son was deliberately abandoned by his brother-in-law, and the young tenant went astray for so-called love. Life was getting tougher. In the constant struggles, the 90-year-old father felt hard to bear the burden of life, and wanted to end his life with pesticides with his son. The film ends here and leaves the suspense, in which the cold-bloodedness and fetters of kinship are vividly displayed. The feeling of powerlessness goes straight to the hearts through screen. Two people’s lifetime adding up to 150 years come to an abrupt end.

Cheng Sanhe, the first "Kanu" who successfully filed for bankruptcy in Taiwan, went from being inexplicably indebted at the beginning to realizing that he had already owed millions of debts. The bank's collection and the finance company used threats and intimidation to collect debts. Sanhe has since fallen into the hell of "using cards to raise cards". Lewis found out that his mother's boyfriend was spending the night. Lewis was upset and went to his father's house the next day. Yisi and his father gradually warm up, but was told by his mother that his father went to the other place has nothing to do with work, just because of a wealthy woman. Feeling his pride hurt, Yisi again treated his father coldly. After experiencing the cold war and running away from home, father and son slowly untangle their feelings, reconcile and say goodbye.
