Harold King, an Export Bank clerk, falls in love with the president’s daughter, Evelyn Morse. After being dismissed and diagnosed with tuberculosis, Harold tries to release Evelyn from her promise. However, she insists they marry and sends him to a sanitarium. Disowned by her ambitious father, Evelyn works tirelessly in a factory to pay for his treatment. Once Harold is completely cured, he returns just in time to save a newly unemployed Evelyn from eviction.
