In 2007 the legendary American duo White Stripes toured Canada. Besides playing the usual venues they challenged themselves and played in buses, cafés and for Indian tribal elders. Music video director Emmett Malloy followed the band and managed to capture both the special tour, extraordinary concert versions of the band's minimalist, raw, blues-inspired rock songs and the special relationship between the extroverted Jack White and the introspective Meg White - a formerly married couple who for a long time claimed to be siblings. The film makes striking use of the band's concert colors: red, white and black.

Archive had left us without news for some time, but the London collective returned in 2022 with an album that was a cry from the heart, Call to Arms & Angels, suffocated by an accumulation of alarming events (Brexit, Covid-19, lockdowns, etc.). The band, skilled at blending genres (trip-hop, alternative rock, electro, etc.), transformed this melancholy into lyrical despair and vigorous protest. During their French tour, which ended on November 24, 2023, at the Accor Arena in Paris, Archive, renowned for their spectacular shows, treated themselves to a warm-up tour in Passengers, in the heart of the industrial hall of the Grandes Serres de Pantin. I Heard a Voice is the first live DVD from AFI that was released on December 12, 2006. The concert was filmed at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California on Friday, September 15, 2006. Part of the Decemberunderground Tour, the crowd was the largest AFI had ever headlined with over 13,000 people in attendance. The title of this DVD is lifted from a line of poetry in the decemberunderground CD booklet. Underneath the song 37mm, it says: "The power went out. I turned on the radio. The power went out. I turned on the radio. The power went out. I turned on the radio....I heard a voice." The moth on the case is also from the decemberunderground booklet.
