Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass

Jozef embarks on a journey via a ghostly train to visit his dying father in a remote Galician sanatorium. Upon arrival, he discovers that the sanatorium exists in a realm where time is distorted—his father's death has not yet occurred, as time here lags behind the outside world by an undefined interval. Jozef's experiences become increasingly fragmented and dreamlike as he confronts various manifestations of his father, each representing different aspects of their relationship and his own psyche.

The Martian Funeral
On the Mars colony where robot coffins deliver the dead’s final messages, one coffin-bot enacts revenge for its occupant and escapes to Earth, kicking off a solar-system-wide chain reaction. Meanwhile, Earth is besieged by kaiju attacks so frequently that it has become a spectator sport, with dojos training human Defenders to battle them. All eyes turn to Vassylisa Murderenko, a woman who seems immune to harm. But while leaders think she’s Earth’s salvation, Vassylisa only wants her beloved cat back after all felines have abandoned humanity. As civilisation teeters, the fate of Earth may hinge on the bond between Vassylisa and Cabbage Ears the Cat, who refuses to leave her.

[The song] "Sweeping the Clouds Away" is sung by Charles "Buddy" Rodgers, who was Mary Pickford's husband. Huh? Who?
