Eat the Document is a documentary of Bob Dylan's 1966 tour of the United Kingdom with the Hawks. It was shot under Dylan's direction by D. A. Pennebaker, whose groundbreaking documentary Dont Look Back chronicled Dylan's 1965 British tour. The film was originally commissioned for the ABC television series Stage '66. Though shooting had completed for the film, Dylan's July 1966 motorcycle accident delayed the editing process. Once well enough to work again, Dylan edited the film himself. ABC rejected the film as incomprehensible for a mainstream audience.

The show was filmed and edited for later broadcast in Europe and Japan as promotion for his then-forthcoming 1986 Parade tour, which hit eight countries in less than a month. The Parade tour never officially hit the United States, with Prince deciding to test the show out on audiences in a handful of cities across the country before taking it abroad. In 1992, to make the Christmas atmosphere more pleasant, Ostrava's creators prepared a musical programme in which a number of well-known carols will be performed by the Rožnov gajdoš, the Beskydská muzika brass band and the children's ensemble Zvoneček from the Pod Skalkou Primary School in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The programme will also feature several well-known personalities who will talk about what Christmas means to them: the actor Josef Kobr, the director of the Wallachian Open Air Museum PhDr. Jaroslav Štika, the Olympic winner Vítězslav Mácha, the former Polish Consul General Jerzy Kronhold and the businessman Peter Kominek.
